Tumblr Survivor: Myanmar - Fans vs Favorites V, is the forty-ninth season of the online version of the Reality TV show, Survivor.
Production
Myanmar was supposed to be Season 54 of Tumblr Survivor but due to cancellations of earlier seasons it was moved up (hence there only being 8 seasons between FvF4 and FvF5).
The blog for this season is Myanmar and the tag for this season is #mustlearntoadapt
Recruiting for returning players began in July 2016 and applications were released for new players on November 2, 2016.
Twists/Changes
- Fans vs. Favorites - This is the 5th instalment of the Fans vs. Favorites series. 10 die hard Survivor fans face off against 10 of the community’s fan favorites from seasons past.
- The Cave - After each Immunity Challenge certain tribe members get the opportunity to explore The Cave. What's in The Cave? Who knows.
- Tribe Swap - When applying for the game everyone picked a number between 1-1000. This number determined their fate in the swap. All those who picked Odd numbers were placed on the new Togye tribe and all those who picked Even numbers were placed on the new Mata tribe.
- Immunity Reward - The first challenge after the Merge was a Reward challenge where the tribe was split into two teams of 6. The winning team's reward was Immunity and no Tribal Council.
- Legacy Advantage - The Legacy Advantage was hidden at survivormyanmar.tumblr.com/legacy from the beginning of the game. The holder, if they make it to the Final 5, would get an extra vote at that tribal council AND if the vote tied they would still get the extra vote on the re-vote.
